Gather global quality resources and replace old growth drivers with new ones. During the Hong Kong·Shandong Week, the key projects of replacing old growth drivers with new ones have become the key promotion points. During the Hong Kong·Shandong Week, Zhao Yan, deputy secretary of the Party committee of Laoshan District and chief executive of Laoshan District, led the team of Laoshan District; leaders of the Bureau of Commerce of Laoshan district, Laoshan Bay Development Group, Jufeng Technological Venture Capital and other departments and enterprises attended the promotional campaign; and they successfully signed contracts on 4 projects.

At 10:45 on August 15, the promotional campaign of major projects replacing old growth drivers with new ones in Shandong Province was held in Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. More than 400 political and commercial representatives of Shandong and Hong Kong attended the promotional campaign.  Edward Yau Tang-wah, director of Hong Kong Trade Development Council, and Margaret Fong, president of Hong Kong Trade Development Council, made a speech. Gong Zheng, deputy secretary of the Party committee of Shandong Province and governor of Shandong Province, and Zhang Xinwen, director of Shandong Development and Reform Commission, made a keynote speech and promoted projects. During the campaign, more than 80 enterprises of Hong Kong and Shandong Provinces signed a contract for cooperation covering the finance industry, the information industry, the cultural industry, the high-end equipment manufacturing industry and the medical treatment and health industry.

The Hong Kong Annual Meeting of Qingdao International Investment Promotion Consulting Organization and the Matchmaking Activity of the Modern Industrial Investment Attraction Policy Promotion Projects Replacing the Old Growth Drivers with New Ones were held on August 16, 2017. Laoshan District signed a contract on 4 projects on the site. The 4 project contracts are the contract of the "CITIC Pacific Finance and Wealth Center Project" by the government of Laoshan District and CITIC Pacific (China) Investment Co., Ltd., the contract of the "China Fuel Gas Project" signed by the government of Laoshan District and Hong Kong and China Gas Co., Ltd., the contract of the "SIIC Diaoyutai Hotel and MGM Hotel Project" signed by SIIC Investment and Development (Qingdao) Co., Ltd. and Diaoyutai MGM Hospitality Co., Ltd. and the contract of the "Overseas Cooperation Project of Jufeng Technological Venture Capital and Shandong Luxin Cultural Media Investment Group Co., Ltd." signed by Qingdao Jufeng Technological Venture Capital Co., Ltd., Shandong Luxin Cultural Media Investment Group Co., Ltd. and Arts Alliance Media.

In order to accumulate experience in project construction and promote investment attraction cooperation, Zhao Yan, chief executive of Laoshan District, and her party, visited the headquarters of Hong Kong and China Gas Co., Ltd., investigated functional facilities such as the hotel of Hong Kong Discovery Bay Comprehensive Real Estate, the international community and comprehensive supporting facilities, inspected and learned from the complex project of Elements and visited South Asia Group.

During their stay in Hong Kong, Zhao Yan, chief executive of Laoshan District, and her party met with Jiang Dong, president of Luxin Cultural Group and Luxin-Rio, and Thomas Hoegh, chairman of the board of directors of Arts Alliance Media, and carried out in-depth exchanges with them on the education and cooperation of the cinema management technique and VR industries of Laoshan District. Meanwhile, some attendees of Laoshan District attended the symposium of replacing the old growth drivers with new ones by international capital organized by the government of Shandong Province and approached some financial institutions in Hong Kong.

Since 2009, Shandong Province has held the economic and trade promotional campaign week in Hong Kong for 9 consecutive years. Hong Kong and Shandong Province have realized frequent exchanges and cooperation and promoted win-win development by developing new techniques, new industries and new models. In recent years, Laoshan District has actively devoted itself to transformation and upgrading, replaced the old growth drivers with new ones, and promoted the smooth continuous economic development. During this visit to Hong Kong, Laoshan District wanted to combine the business opportunities created by replacing the old growth drivers with new ones and the advantages of Hong Kong to contribute to the projects of Shandong Province and Qingdao City for replacing the old growth drivers with new ones and the in-depth integration of economic and trade cooperation between Shandong and Hong Kong.
